UULM - Universitaet Ulm

University of Ulm is a German federal university focusing on medicine and natural sciences. The medical faculty's research activites gave rise to several SFB, and clinical research groups, one of which is headed by the head of Dermatology, Prof. Dr. K. Scharffetter-­‐Kochanek.

The department of dermatology is very research-oriented with a focus on aging and allergy. It cooperates with the Ulm Max-Planck-Group on aging of stem cells. In the university hospital more than 43000 in-patients are treated annually, and 270000 outpatients quarterly. UULM has an international graduate school in molecular medicine. The university is committed to good scientific practice.
